Alaska Airlines announced the launch of new nonstop flights to The Bahamas from Los Angeles and Seattle starting this November. The new routes will operate twice a week from Los Angeles and once a week from Seattle using Boeing 737-900 aircraft.
These new flights will provide easy access to popular Bahamian destinations such as Nassau Eleuthera and Exuma for West Coast travelers. According to Alaska Airlines this expansion is part of their commitment to offer more options for leisure travelers and will connect the West Coast with one of the most popular vacation destinations in the Caribbean.
“Alaska Airlines continues to expand our reach to leisure destinations across North America” said Brett Catlin Alaska Airlines Vice President of Network and Alliances. “With the addition of new service to Nassau Eleuthera and Exuma Alaska now offers more nonstop service to The Bahamas than any other U.S. carrier from the West Coast.”
These new routes add to Alaska Airlines’ already extensive network to popular vacation destinations in Mexico Costa Rica and Hawaii. The airline is also planning to launch new flights to Belize City Belize from Los Angeles and Seattle in November.
Alaska Airlines has implemented several measures to ensure safety and wellbeing during the ongoing pandemic such as requiring masks to be worn and providing hand sanitizer. The airline also offers flexible travel policies allowing passengers to change or cancel their flights without fees.
