The bank's solid earnings report released on Tuesday showed a profit of $14.3 billion in the third quarter surpassing analysts' expectations. JPMorgan's strong performance was driven by its investment banking and trading divisions.

The real estate company has been benefiting from the strong housing market as low mortgage rates and high demand for homes continue to drive sales. Investors are optimistic about the overall market with the Dow futures up 104 points or 0.4% as of 8:41 AM ET (12:41 GMT). The S&P 500 futures and Nasdaq 100 futures also saw gains of 0.3% and 0.2% respectively.
