Experts have discovered a network of malicious websites containing images designed to steal Telegram accounts. The network, established in December 2023, comprises over 300 similar sites focused on search engine optimization. Users are at high risk of encountering these sites, especially when searching directly through images. Clicking on a link or image redirects users to phishing sites mimicking Telegram channels. These sites often use the name You will like it and prompt victims to enter their Telegram login information, which is then stolen by the scammers. Even two-factor authentication cannot prevent this if the user unwittingly provides the code on the phishing site. The scammers use unrelated domains and hide malicious content, making it difficult to report or block them effectively.
